The Newest Swimsuit Style

At the beginning of the summer, I started seeing all these t-shirt/bandeau swim tops and I was extremely confused. Why would someone want to wear an off-the-shoulder swimtop? I couldn't even fathom all the strange and bizarre tan lines that the top would give a person. And, how do you even swim or move with that thing? I had so many questions until I slipped one on... then my mindset completely changed. Heck, this swimsuit was adorable! Why not wear an off-the-shoulder swimtop? Contrary to popular belief, it is actually quite easy to move and swim in and who cares about tan lines? That is what sunscreen is for!

I became a part of the bandeau bandwagon in the blink of an eye and I have no regrets whatsoever. I have seen many of my friends sporting this type of swimwear and I constantly see women pulling off different designs and patterns. To be honest, I have not seen one person look bad in this style yet! Sure, it's fun, cute and girly, but the best part: I completely forgot I was wearing a swimtop! I felt really confident and comfortable and that's all I can really ask for from a swimsuit.

Did I mention that you pretty much don't need to invest in a coverup with this style either? No? OK well listen up! It has been totally acceptable over the years for people to wear crop tops, and let me just say they are a style that is still "in." In my mind, this swimtop falls into the category of an almost-croptop. Therefore, I just threw on a pair of my favorite high waisted shorts and I was good to go! That was easy :)

You truly can find these swimtops anywhere. However, in case you haven't heard, Victoria's Secret is discontinuing their swimline, so I would absolutely check there first! They are having tons of sales and some of their items are up to 70% off. Still not convinced of this trend? I promise you, you will look awesome in one of these tops! Whether you are just hanging by the pool alone or attending a pool party with all the people you haven't seen since high school, you will make a splash! This swimsuit is very flattering on different body types, especially if you are like me and have big hips. The key for me in searching for a good swimsuit is to balance out my shoulders and hips. So I picked this off-the-shoulder look to elongate my upper body, and was quite happy with the results!

And, I know you are all dying to know where I got this amazing donut floatie (another "in" style this summer) and that answer is at ShopBellac! I started following the cute boutique located in Arkansas when fellow Bachelor contestants started modeling their clothing. Now I am obsessed with the brand, their sales and their amazing food floaties! ShopBellac was kind enough to send me and my friends free bullhorn tanks earlier this summer and this month gifted me with a $15 gift card in which I splurged on this floatie. It was just too cute to pass up!

Now, who is ready for an end-of-the-summer goal? You are! I challenge you to go grab your favorite floatie, your best friend and an off-the-shoulder swimsuit because this look is to stay and you will look flawless! Enjoy the sun while it is still here! :)
