Moving from summer to fall fashion

If you are anything like me, the change from summer to fall fashion can be a bit sad but also bittersweet. There is no better time to amp up your fall wardrobe than right now! Cardigans, scarfs, sweaters and more are on sale everywhere you look. And, I have found the perfect item that you MUST have in your closet this fall. In fact, you may already own it from the summertime.

This jean dress is my go-to summer look. I truly have worn it so much, my friends are probably sick of seeing me in it. However, this summer dress can easily become a fall-look when you layer on scarfs or dress it up with a sweater.

I am truly convinced that jean dresses are going to make a comeback this fall. And, I am here to share several ideas with how you can dress up your denim dress for all weather and seasons!

In the summer months, I would wear sandals or wedges with this belted-look. As the cooler months come upon us, it would be totally acceptable to wear knee high boots or to wear this shirt dress over a pair of colored skinny jeans.

There are several different styles of denim shirt dresses. Some are fitted, some button-down and some are slouchy (like this one)! I opted in for a slouchy slip over denim dress as opposed to button up because I like to breathe after meals! My all time favorite way to wear this light-wash dress is with a pair of heels and red lipstick. Plus, I believe this look makes you slimmer, especially when you lose the belt!

Another fantastic way to wear a denim dress would be with a long sleeve shirt underneath it! With denim, it is a solid style so almost any color would work for this look. But, like mentioned earlier, my all time favorite look that I cannot wait to try this fall would be to throw a sweater over the jean dress and add a blanket scarf.

You can find a variety of sleeveless, short sleeve or long sleeve jean dresses at stores such as Macy's, Kohls, Charlotte Russe, and Target to name a few. But, truthfully they are everywhere!
