Seasons 52: A Lifechanging Experience
You know how sometimes you stumble across a really cool restaurant and it makes you question everything you've ever known? Yeah? That is Seasons 52! Hands down, this restaurant is the most amazing thing I have ever encountered. Not only does their fresh menu shift for every week of the year (hence the 52 in their name) but they offer the most flavorful and seasonally-rich ingredients. Each time I have dined at Seasons 52, I have left feeling full and satisfied.
Seasons 52 is currently in 18 different states, including Indiana (where I have visited) and Illinois. Any Oak Brook or Schaumburg fans? While my post centers on the Seasons 52 located at Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis, I am sure the restaurant chain is similar in its other locations. So, what are you waiting for, go visit!
This tasty restaurant is meant for celebrations! Allie and I rang in our birthday at Seasons 52 and then I introduced my family to the farm-fresh restaurant when I graduated from college. Seasons 52 believes in serving food that is good now! Their menu features only the best of ingredients, especially those that are in-season in this particular time of the year. For example, right now the restaurant chain is serving their Autumn menu which offers foods such as brussel sprouts, pumpkin and swordfish to name a few.
They also cook their menu items using a brick oven or open-fire grilling to bring out natural flavors, according to their website. Whatever they are doing its working! The food was phenomenal and the experience even better. When Allie and I first visited we knew nothing about the restaurant, we simply were in the area because we were shopping. We decided to give it a try and are so glad that we did!
Our waitress was amazing and so friendly! She gave us the history of the restaurant and explained how their seasonal menus worked. Allie is gluten-free so she got a special menu created for her. They offer alternative menus for lactose/dairy sensitive, gluten-sensitive, vegetarian and vegan. Our waitress was able to answer any questions that we had and offered up recommendations when Allie and I were stuck between a couple of items (like all of them! Cause the entire menu sounded delicious!)
In the end, we settled on the Sesame Grilled Salmon Salad and the Vegetarian Tasting, which included a quinoa and citrus salad, soft taco, seasonal veggies, and cedar-roasted tofu (pictured above). For my graduation, I tried the Maple Glazed All-Natural Roasted Half Chicken which was great too! The portions were wonderful, the food a burst of flavor and overall Allie and I were extremely satisfied (especially because most meals are low in calories as well). We kept looking at each other wondering if this was real life. Could food truly taste this good? It sure can when it's fresh!
Seasons 52's motto is "The best of every season. Straight to your table." And that is exactly what we got. After demolishing our entrees, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert since we were celebrating. We told her we were too full, but what the heck, what did they have to offer? She came back with a platter of desserts made in shot glasses. They were mini! No harm could be done by these little guys right? Yet, our bill was already high for college students because fresh food comes with the cost.
Our waitress said we absolutely had to try their desserts! They are fan-favorites. Another reason I love this place, the generosity of the staff members! Our waitress told Allie and I to each pick one and the cost would be on her. She wanted us to try them and it was our birthday for heavens sake, we needed to splurge. Sure enough, when the bill came the desserts did not show up on the receipt. We could not believe she was willing to do that for us, or for our tastebuds! Let me tell you, those desserts put the cherry on top!
I mean, just look at them! They were the sweetest most satisfying concoction. Allie and I ate them in about four bites but made sure to share them with one another. I ordered the Carrot Cake shot and Allie the S'mores. Moral of the story, these desserts made our experience even better and ensured that we would visit again.
When looking for somewhere to dine, I want passionate employees, delicious food and a price that matches the satisfaction. While entrees range on the pricier side, Seasons 52 went above and beyond my expectations, leading me to book a reservation for my graduation dinner like mentioned earlier.
I cannot thank our lovely waitress enough for making sure Allie and I had a great experience, the chefs for making excellent tasting food and the restaurant for its ambience and overall design. All those factors encourage visitors to keep coming back. And, let me tell you, Seasons 52 has my vote for one of the best dining experiences! I will be sure to come back next time I visit Indianapolis. If you find a location near you, visit soon! I promise your taste buds will thank you.
